Paul is the founder, major shareholder and CEO of Telegael, one of Ireland’s largest animation and television studios. Formed in 1988 with a staff of 3, the Telegael group today employs 70 people fulltime and up to 300 annually on a part-time or contract basis. To date the Telegael group has invested in excess of $10m. in a comprehensive range of studios and production facilities.
Telegael has developed a strong reputation internationally as a developer, co-financier and co-producer of content for the global market. Telegael’s projects have been distributed to over 150 territories throughout the world including major networks such as Disney, BBC, ITV, Discovery Kids, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, ZDF, KiKa, France 3, TF1, TVO, Super RTL, HBO, PBS Sprout, ABC Australia and Televisa. Telegael has co-produced animated and live action series with studios in US, France, UK, Netherlands, India, China, Canada, Korea and Australia. Its programs have been translated into over 40 languages worldwide. Paul acts as executive producer on all of Telegael’s productions.
Paul is also chairman of iRadio group which is Ireland’s leading regional radio station targeting the 15–34 audience and chairman of the Studio Solas film and television studios. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, Paul has served on the Film Finance Committee of IBEC Irish Audiovisual Federation and he is also a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and the Irish Film and Television Academy.
A seven-time EMMY nominee, Paul won two EMMY awards, 2004 and 2007.

He is a senior international media professional with international experience and contacts developed over 30 years in the TV, Film and Commercials sectors. He has worked at CEO and Chairman level in technical and creative realms.
Specialist Skills Leadership and Strategy in International creative businesses, Entrepreneurialism, Intimate understanding of the US Film Production Market.
The context in which he has worked has been highly entrepreneurial specializing in start-ups and turnarounds of technical and creative subsidiaries of blue chip companies including the Rank Organisation, W H Smith and Eastman Kodak. In these senior positions he has shown effectiveness in Business Development, Strategic Planning and Growth.
Until June 2011 Colin served in the role of British Film Commissioner. In this role he was the ambassador for British filmmaking skills and services to the US market. In 2010 a record $1bn was spent by US producers in the UK on goods and services. Colin participated in many of the successful negotiations with US studios designed to encourage them to shoot in the UK'.
Colin has held Board positions at UK Film Council, National Film and Television School and UK Post. He is a voting member of BAFTA.
