KARUNANIDHI MUTHU LLB, Director of DCH Capital Partners

Mr. Karunanidhi Muthu, an Oxford alumnus, is an overseas citizen of India, based in New Zealand. He is the founder and director of DCH Capital Partners. Mr Muthu is a serial entrepreneur, angel investor and currently a Barrister of the High Court of New Zealand. He has studied in England and New Zealand, including at the prestigious University of Oxford.

A member of the International Bar Association and the Institute of Directors in New Zealand, he has academic training and qualifications in Law, International Marketing Management, International Business Management, Private Equity Investment and Investor Relations.

He founded DCH India which provides services in Beauty Care, Wine, Web services, Media & Communications and luxury Yachts and Aviation.

Mr. Muthu was a Parliamentary candidate for the current ruling coalition at the General Election in New Zealand. Mr. Muthu has delivered speeches on cross-cultural aspect of doing business internationally in India, Mauritius and New Zealand. Mr. Muthu has also delivered speeches on marine industry in India, including the admiralty law at FICCI - MIBS 2010 in Mumbai and India International Sailing Regatta 2010 in Chennai.


Graeme, a Harvard alumnus is Karunanidhi's mentor and group legal advisor. He is a senior Barrister and Solicitor and a former Member of Parliament in New Zealand. He also sits on many important commercial boards in New Zealand.

Graeme has developed expertise in many branches of the law including appearing as counsel in both criminal and civil jury trials, at administrative tribunals, and also numerous times before a judge alone.

He has an ongoing involvement in the property field and extensive experience both as an independent professional trustee and in the area of corporate governance.

As well as maintaining his law practice, Graeme has a strong commitment to continuing education and communication. He worked for more than ten years as director, contract author and presenter for TEO Training Ltd, the largest private sector provider of continuing education to the New Zealand accounting and legal professions. He has also conducted corporate governance seminars on behalf of the Crown Company Monitoring Unit for directors of State Owned Enterprises.

Graeme’s professionalism and business background have seen him appointed to numerous board positions.

He was the Member of Parliament in New Zealand for the Miramar electorate from 1990 – 1993 and during that time, he chaired the Justice and Law Reform Select Committee for the Human Rights Amendment Bill.

TIM THORPE (New Zealand)

Key Strength: Executive Production and Regional Corporate Advisor: New Zealand

Tim has a strong background across the screen industry in New Zealand and into Australia. Initially, Tim worked for the New Zealand government on screen related issues. This included developing the policy and criteria for the Large Budget Screen Production Grant and working alongside the Screen Production Industry Taskforce.

In 2004 Tim joined the industry-led New Zealand Screen Council as its Executive Director. He worked on a range of issues to grow the industry from intellectual property, tax, education and training to business and market development. A number of initiatives were run jointly with Australia.

In 2008, Tim set up Tim Thorpe Consulting providing strategic, analytical and financial advice to the screen industry. He helped develop the criteria for the Screen Production Incentive Fund, has undertaken a number of research reports for clients and has been involved in a review of the New Zealand screen industry for government. He has also assisted with financing for a range of screen productions, including electronic gaming.

Will Xue (Intern - China)

Wealthy Migrant and Business Advisory

Will Xue is from mainland China and educated in New Zealand. Will brings to DCH an indepth knowledge of Mainland China. He has developed excellent analytical skills. Established a strong understanding of business operational procedures. Also was in charge of presentations to the Board on analysis and trends for the up-coming quarters.

Siva is a former diplomat and banker with international trade negotiation expertise at WTO and African Union level. Siva renders his decades of expertise in international trade and banking to DCH Capital Partners and associated companies.


Raja is based in Paris, France and a seasoned management consultant with two decades of experience in helping companies enter into new markets. He specialises in market entry strategy with a deep knowledge of France and India.


Kannan is a practicing accountant with experience in Business Valuations and good understanding of ETF and Islamic ETF products, Business Startups, Business plan and Financial projections preparation, 
Business planning and Performance Management System implementation for mid-sized organization as an independent consultant responsible for reduction of Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and Credit adherence, introduced Compliance audit to have an effective control over the credit approvals, formulated the financial strategy to turn around the business, which resulted in a three-fold increase in profits. He is team leader of Information system planning (ISP) involved in Business process study, System design and Implementation of mid-range ERP software, involved in preparation of feasibility reports and restructuring packages
